Ruby Lee Hankins Sykes

Services for Ruby Lee Hankins Sykes will be at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Mount Hermon Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor Frank “Doug” Randle will be officiating. Interment will be in Roadview Cemetery.

Mrs. Hankins Sykes, 92, of Boyce, LA, passed away on August 23, 2024, at her residence. She was a member of the Magnolia Baptist Church, she served as Secretary of the Mission and choir, choir member, Sunday School member, kitchen and cleaning committee, Sponsor of the Boyce Youth Community Choir, Deaconess, and eldest Senior Saint of the church.

Ruby is preceded in death by her husbands: Britten Hankins, Jr. and Albert Sykes Sr., parents: Otis, Sr. and Rosa Jenkins, daughter: Rosa Pearl Kirklin, brothers: Otis, Jr., James, John, David, and Andrew Jenkins.

Ruby leaves to cherish her memories-daughter: Barbara Fisher, son: Clyde Peterson, brother: Hughes Jenkins, sisters: Ola Mae Smith, Gertrude King, Oletha Bell, Erma Clifton, along with 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 10:00a.m. at Mount Hermon Baptist Church.
